Interning on the Projects Abroad Human Rights Internship in Argentina program gives you the opportunity to make a tangible impact on other people’s lives in a new country.

These placements offer a constructive way to support positive action amongst marginalised groups and disadvantaged communities.

Experience

At first glance, it is sometimes hard to measure the difference one volunteer has made in a few weeks. But when thousands of people donate a short amount of time to the same long-term goals, we achieve massive progress together.

Projects Abroad interns work with some of the most vulnerable groups in the world and we take that responsibility seriously. We are proud to provide the structure that our volunteers need to help change communities and explore the world in a meaningful way.

Interning abroad is an act of service and an opportunity for self-reflection. The willingness to step outside your comfort zone to help and learn from others is no small feat, and we love connecting people around the world ready for adventure and eager to make an impact.

This project accepts interns throughout the year, so you can join on the dates that suit you. You can stay from as little as two weeks. Projects Abroad encourage students to stay longer if possible so you can learn more and make a bigger impact.

Cost

The program fee varies depending on program length. For a 4-week internship, the program fee is approximately $4,255 AUD. More information regarding what is included in the program fee can be found on the host program website

Accommodation 

Housing is included in the program fee.

Some Faculties allow students to receive credit towards their UQ program for internships or other non-study activities. The Global Experiences Team is unable to provide further advice regarding internships for credit. If you are interested in seeking credit, you must contact your Faculty/School directly for more information regarding your eligibility:

Please note: If you are granted permission to receive credit for your participation in an internship program:

  • You may be responsible for paying UQ tuition fees in addition to the internship program fee
  • You may be eligible for funding provided through the OS-Help loan scheme
