The Centre for India Australia Studies convenes a number of India Immersion Programmes for Australian Universities students throughout the year. The India Immersion Programme is a 3-week residential programme which aims to introduce Australian students to the many different facets of India. The India Immersion Programme allows students to participate in seminars, lectures and field visits with leading academics and professionals from a variety of industries. The course provides its participants with an introduction to India’s diverse regulatory, business and social impact landscape.

Credit Equivalent 

4 Credits = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units if 4 Credits are successfully completed (pending UQ faculty approval).

All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience eligibility criteria and the O.P. Jindal Global University entry requirements.

Students must email an expression of interest to cias@jgu.edu.in by 1 November 2019. O.P. Jindal Global University will respond with details of the course as well as payment instructions (all online).

Cost

The program fee is $2,000 AUD.  The program fee includes admission fees, accommodation for the duration of the program, meals during program activities and domestic transport and transit for official program activities. 

Applicants may also be eligible for UQ-specific funding.

Accommodation is included in the program cost. Please contact O.P. Jindal Global University for more information regarding accommodation.

If you participate in a short-term program you may also be eligible to submit an application for an OS-HELP loan if your program is for-credit and you are enrolled as a Commonwealth supported student.
