The NTU Plus Academy Program enables students from all over the world to gain first-hand experience and cultural exploration – all within an international setting based on academic and personal growth.

This program is designed to meet the needs of students at all levels, whether you're a beginner or have prior experience with Chinese language. It offers an in-class curriculum that encourages interaction and helps you enhance your communication skills. The course covers various themes that connect your daily language learning with cultural experiences and interactions with NTU local students.

Credit Equivalent 

3 credits = 2 UQ units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units if 3 Credits are successfully completed (pending UQ faculty approval).

Visa Information

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the correct visa for the country where you will be studying. As the Global Experiences team is not a visa-issuing authority we cannot provide visa advice.

Eligibility and application

All applicants must meet the UQ short-term program criteria and the entry requirements for the course. 

If you are intending to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to IGET at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for Faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline.

Cost

The participation mode of this experience is Study Abroad. The program fee is approximately $3,850 AUD as a partner university of NTU. More information regarding program fees can be found on the host university website. 

Accommodation 

Accommodation is not included in the program fee. More information regarding accommodation options is avaible on the host university webpage

If you participate in a short-term program you may also be eligible to submit an application for an OS-HELP loan if your program is for-credit and you are enrolled as a Commonwealth supported student.
