Imperial College London is a science-based institution with an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research.
This winter school is specifically designed for undergraduate students in the final two years of their studies, particularly those studying IT, computing, or any engineering degrees with an interest in data science. Students will be introduced to key concepts, develop a solid understanding of data science, learn from experts in data science and AI applications, and collaborate on a technical project.
Students will engage in team-based learning by working on a group project focused on a real-world challenge.

Credit Equivalent
7.5 ECTS = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units upon successful completion of 7.5 ECTS (pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility and application
All applicants must meet the standard UQ Student Eligibility Criteria and any additional eligibility criteria set by Imperial College. Please note, the program information on Imperial College website is pending further information to be confirmed. Please refer to the attached Data Scienc and AI Winter School flyer.
If you are intending to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to IGET at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for Faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note however that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline.
Costs
The participation mode of this experience is Study Abroad. The Data Science Winter School program tuition is approximately AUD$5675.
The fee includes all tuition, project work and tutorials, electronic supporting materials, access to the VLE, teaching venue, relevenat visits, social activities, lunches, Imperial College certificate of attendance and a transcript for project marks.
