Students who complete their online application for the University of Copenhagen and tick housing in the online application will receive an invitation to apply online for housing from the UCPH Housing Foundation.

Cost of living

Living in Denmark can be quite expensive and your budget will depend on your personal living expenses. UCPH provides practical information and budgeting and the cost of living in Copenhagen to help students plan for their exchange.

Financial support

A range of funding for student exchange including scholarships, grants and loans are available to UQ students.

The Crown Princess Mary Scholarship is awarded annually to two outstanding exchange students among our 19 Australian partner institutions. Each Australian partner university may nominate one of their exchange students to Copenhagen for the scholarship. The DKK 10,000 scholarships are intended as financial help for the recipients’ stay in Denmark. The university has more information about Royal Scholarships awarded to Australians.

Insurance

Students approved to participate in a Semester-based Exchange are automatically covered by UQ’s Travel Insurance for the country of their host university only.

For more information, read the Student Travel Insurance Policy Summary on UQ’s Travel Insurance web page (login required).

If you plan to travel outside of your host country, you should purchase additional insurance.

The University of Copenhagen does not have a mandatory insurance policy which students are required to take out. UCPH has information available regarding their insurance and health insurance policies.
