The Hebrew University of Jerusalem Mishpatim Seminar in Israeli and International Law is conducted in cooperation with the Faculty of Law at the most prestigious law school in Israel.

The team of instructors includes senior lecturers from the Faculty of Law of the Hebrew University and guest speakers in different fields. Leading academics and experienced practitioners provide students with knowledge of the basic concepts and institutional framework of Israeli law, as well as with a more practical perspective regarding the operation of the legal system on the ground. There will also be online tours of the Supreme Court of Israel, the Knesset (the Israeli Parliament) and the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum.

Summer 2020/2021 Short-term Global Experiences (Virtual Offerings)

Virtual short-term global experiences offered during the Summer 2020/2021 application round are only available on a not-for-credit basis. The Global Experiences Team will not be assessing applications for credit in this round.

UQ may have a range of available summer course offerings (external and internal mode) for you to enrol in over the end of year period. Should you have any questions, please contact your Faculty directly.

All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience eligibility criteria and the Mishpatim entry requirements.

The tuition cost and program fee are approximately $2,500 AUD per course. More information regarding fees can be found on the host university website. UQ students may also be eligible for a partner discount or discount for taking multiple courses. 

Applicants may also be eligible for UQ-specific funding. Applicants will be notified by late-October if they are eligible for grants and scholarships awarded by the Global Experiences Team. Please do not rely on this funding to support your global experience.
