Training and Development for Student Representatives

Training and Development for Student Representatives

By being a part of the Student-Staff Partnerships community, student representatives will receive a range of information and development opportunities to ensure they get the most out of their time as a representative. The Student-Staff Parnterships team works closely with UQ Union, school and faculty staff members, and student reps to ensure the training and resources provided is of a high standard and meets the needs of all UQ student reps.

Student Reps Bootcamp

The UQ Student Reps Bootcamp was an intensive one-day workshop that provided student reps from 5 different faculties and 19 different schools the opportunity to share strategies, develop key transferable skills, and hear from executive academic leaders about the importance of their role. Reps developed plans of action to engage with staff members and students effectively and learned more about the different ways that they can be an agent for change at UQ.
