Eligibility

To participate in the global virtual internship (part-time) in semester 2, 2022 you must meet a number of eligibility criteria. Make sure you meet the eligibility criteria before applying for your internship.

To be eligible to participate in an internship you must:

  • select an experience from one of the three (3) providers listed above
  • be actively enrolled into a UQ program and courses
  • have completed at least six (6) units at UQ in your current UQ program
  • have a minimum GPA of 4 and a record of steady academic achievement
  • meet any other published eligibility requirements relevant to the nominated internship provider

It is your responsibility to confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria and complete the relevant application procedure with your preferred provider. The experience provider is responsible for making the final decision on your eligibility to participate in the internship.

It is imperative that you check the relevant course profile for the hours of placement/internship required if you are seeking credit. For example, minimum 80 hours of placement is required for RBUS3999. Therefore, if you are able to commit to 10 hours for your placement per week, you would need to enrol for at least 8 weeks to gain the minimum hours required for this course. You can always do more hours to maximise the opportunity. However, it is critical the you manage your time appropriately.

If your degree requires that you complete Professional Practice (i.e. EPP),  your must seek advance approval from your School/ Faculty to claim this internship for Professional Practice hours
