The National University of Singapore with the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) is delighted to offer FASStrack Asia: The Summer School. As a leading university centred in Asia, NUS has ranked consistently as one of the top universities in the world that places a strong emphasis on a high quality, globally-oriented educational experience. 

With Asia in the world’s spotlight as it undergoes rapid growth, the Summer School will tap into our research strengths in the region and offer students an enriching knowledge and understanding of various Asian-related topics and issues. Taught over a 3-week summer period, students will attend classes, participate in active discussions and learn from academic experts specializing in their area of study.

Credit equivalent 

4 Modular Credits = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ units after successful completion of experience (pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility and application

All applicants must meet the standard UQ Student Eligibility Criteria and the NUS entry requirements for the relevant course.

If you are intending to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to IGET at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for Faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note however that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline.

Cost

The participation mode of this experience is Study Abroad. Tuition will cost approximately $4,000 AUD and additional application and student services fees will also apply.

Funding

New Colombo Plan Mobility Grant

Eligible students are guaranteed a New Colombo Plan Mobility Grant valued at $3,000 AUD when participating in this experience.

When you submit your application to the Internships and Global Experiences team, you are automatically considered. There is no additional application required. Applicants will need to submit supporting documentation (host acceptance, bank details) by the relevant deadline.
