CIS Australia January on Vancouver Island, Canada
The CIS Australia January on Vancouver Island, Canada program focuses on Forensic Psychology or Advertising and Promotion to help students pursue their passions, develop their career skills and build relationships that will last a lifetime , while also taking advantage of a perfect location and exploring Canada’s beautiful west coast.
Students on the program can take advantage of a perfect location – VIU is located in the centre of the Island’s great natural beauty with access to year-round activities like hiking, snow and ocean sports, mountain biking, kayaking and more. Nanaimo offers a unique climate with a mild winter season, and being so close to the mountains, world-class skiing and a winter wonderland are only a few hours away!

Applicants are advised to submit 2-3 courses on their application for credit form for faculty assessment credit in case of course cancellation.
Credit Equivalent
3 credits = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units if 3 credits are successfully completed (pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility and application
All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience criteria and CISaustralia's entry requirements.
If you are intending to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to IGET at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for Faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note however that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline.
Costs and funding
The participation mode of this experience is Study Abroad. The program fee will cost approximately $6,999 AUD and includes tuition, accommodation, meals and class field trips. An additional application fee of $95 AUD will apply.

Accommodation
Accommodation is included in the program fee. Students will stay in a private bedroom in a homestay with meals provided by the host family. More information regarding accommodation can be found on the host university website.

Internships and Global Experiences Grants
