Challenges Abroad offers exceptional opportunities to further your life skills and to create incredible experiences, all while helping disadvantaged communities around the world. Situated amidst the highest mountain range in the world, take part in an exciting Health Promotion volunteering program to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged communities.

Nepal is a beautiful country, surrounded by the mighty Himalayas, it is situated in South Asia with India to the east, south and west and China to north. Despite its beauty, Nepal faces many development challenges including the poor healthcare and health education offered to children, youth and women.

There are many schools in Nepal but they have limited resources and there is generally no curriculum for health education. Through the program, Challenges Abroad aim to address the increasing health disparities among children and adolescents of marginalised communities.

We work collaboratively with our local partners to develop programs, which take a long term and holistic view of improving the health of disadvantaged communities. Through this challenge, volunteers will provide health education to the youth of Nepal as well as the wider community.
