Challenges Abroad offer exceptional opportunities to further your life skills and to create incredible experiences, all while helping disadvantaged communities around the world. Experience the very best Thailand has to offer. Volunteer in beautiful Thailand working in an elephant sanctuary and supporting a hill-tribe village.

This amazing adventure will leave a lasting impression on you and make a sustainable difference for the organisations and communities you will be supporting!

Elephant Sanctuary

In Thailand, elephants are often abused as working animals in shows or for street begging; many ending up disabled, blind or orphaned. Elephant sanctuaries offer a safe haven for these majestic animals.

By volunteering in an elephant sanctuary you will have the opportunity to care for elephants for a whole week! This adventure will allow you to bond with these beautiful animals and to support the work of the sanctuary, to offer a better future to the elephants of Thailand.

Hill-tribe village

Although Thailand is increasingly being seen as a developed destination, it still has many economic and cultural problems. Thailand faces many social issues and marginalised groups, particularly hill-tribes, who often don’t receive the support they need.

The hill-tribes villages are located in the most remote and beautiful locations, where no one else could take you! Every day these hill-tribes perpetuate ancestral traditions, wearing hand-made clothing, living in wooden houses and growing their own food. Volunteering in these villages is the opportunity of a lifetime to experience a unique adventure while supporting underprivileged communities!
