Challenges Abroad offers exceptional opportunities to further your life skills and to create incredible experiences, all while helping disadvantaged communities around the world.

Experience the very best Asia has to offer this summer in our unique Health Promotion Challenge! Volunteer in enchanting Cambodia working with incredible organisations that will leave a lasting impression on both you and the community.

Cambodia is a developing country that faces many social issues, with marginalised groups, particularly children, often not receiving the healthcare or health education that they need. Working collaboratively with local schools, NGOs and health workers, we adopt a holistic and long-term approach to creating change in the communities where we work. We aim to utilise the skills and interests of our volunteers to better equip the community to live healthy and fulfilled lives through a range of preventative healthcare initiatives, from education and workshops to needs-assessment research, development of local healthcare facilities and provision of resources.

This program is perfect for any student interested in improving the health of disadvantaged communities through health promotion and development initiatives. The program can be tailored to utilise a range of skills from students studying disciplines such as nutrition, nursing, public or environmental health, pharmacy and more!

There are two Cambodia Health Promotion programs being offered during the Summer 2017/18 break:

  • Session 1
