UQ Careers Service Nominated as Finalist for the 2017 AGRIAs

15 Nov 2017

The UQ Careers Service was nominated as a finalist for the 2017 AAGE Graduate Recruitment Industry Awards (AGRIAs) in the category of Most Popular Careers Service’.

The AGRIAs are awarded by the Australian Association of Graduate Employers (AAGE) and recognise outstanding examples of excellence in the graduate recruitment and development industry.

The finalists for this award were (in alphabetical order):

  • Deakin University
  • RMIT University
  • The University of Queensland
  • The University of South Australia
  • The University of Technology, Sydney

A Finalist cannot self-nominate to specifically enter this Award Category – the finalists were determined from responses to the AAGE's annual AGRIAs Survey.

Employers were asked to vote for the Careers Service that has provided the best service over the last 12 months

The University of Queensland Careers Service won the award in 2016 and was just pipped at the post by Deakin University at the 2017 AAGE Conference.

However the UQ Careers Service was the only State nomination for Queensland as the Most Popular Careers Service.

Let’s cross our fingers that with some hard work and innovative thinking the UQ Careers Service will be up for nomination again in 2018.

Special thanks to the amazing Careers team Krista, Lawrence, Nicky and Paige for all their incredible work with employers, students and UQ staff.
