The ACICIS Business Professional Practicum program runs for six weeks and includes a two-week intensive Indonesian language study and industry-led seminars, followed by a four-week supervised industry placement. 

The BPP provides an opportunity for students of business, management and marketing, or early career business professionals, to gain valuable experience working in the field of business and commerce in Indonesia. Host Organisations are drawn from a wide range of Jakarta’s business and industry sectors including banking and finance, infrastructure and mining, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), creative industries, the Indonesian Stock Exchange, Indonesian Ministries of Finance and Trade, as well as chambers of commerce.

Please note: Students are required to apply to ACICIS prior to their 1 July application deadline. Students can apply to UQ Abroad once applications open on 1 July 2019

Due to the timing of the ACICIS application deadline against the UQ Abroad deadline, students are not required to upload a signed PP University Approval Form at the time of application. Students can upload a blank document in place of this form and can arrange for it to be signed and sent separately the UQ abroad application is completed.

Credit Equivalent

Satisfactory completion of program = 2 - 4 UQ Units. Credit may be available for eligible students, pending UQ faculty approval.

All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience eligibility criteria and any additional eligibility criteria set by ACICIS.

The tuition fee is approximately $3,510 AUD. Administration and accommodation fees are not included. More information regarding fees can be found on the host program website. 

A limited number of $3,000 New Colombo Plan Mobility Grants may be available for eligible participants. As this funding is managed by ACICIS, please contact ACICIS with any queries.

Applicants may also be eligible for UQ-specific funding.
